NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ Reigns on Global Charts, Ready to Rock ‘2024 Coupang Play Series’!

(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) The group NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ and ‘How Sweet’ continue to maintain their popularity on major U.S. Billboard charts.

According to the latest chart (dated August 3) released by Billboard on the 30th (local time), NewJeans’ (Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) Japanese debut song ‘Supernatural’ ranked 32nd on the ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ chart and 62nd on the ‘Global 200’ chart. This marks the fifth consecutive week that ‘Supernatural’ has charted.
The songs from their double single ‘How Sweet’ have entered the global charts for nine consecutive weeks. The title track of the same name, ‘How Sweet,’ ranked 50th on the ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ chart and 88th on the ‘Global 200’ chart, while the track ‘Bubble Gum’ ranked 148th on the ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ chart.

NewJeans' popularity continues to soar on major domestic music charts as well. ‘Supernatural’ has maintained its number one position on the Bugs weekly chart (for the period from July 22 to 28) for four consecutive weeks. ‘How Sweet’ followed at 4th place, and ‘Bubble Gum’ at 8th place on the same chart.

On the Melon weekly chart, ‘How Sweet’ ranked 2nd and ‘Supernatural’ ranked 4th, both rising one spot from the previous week, successfully achieving a ‘chart climb.’ Additionally, ‘Bubble Gum’ settled at 9th place, bringing NewJeans to have three songs in the top 10 on the chart.
NewJeans' songs are also well-loved in Japan. On Spotify Japan’s ‘Weekly Top Songs’ (for the period from July 19 to 25) and Apple Music Japan’s ‘Top 100,’ NewJeans had 8 and 7 songs respectively.

Meanwhile, NewJeans is set to perform at the halftime show of the ‘2024 Coupang Play Series’ match between Munich and Tottenham, scheduled to be held at 8 PM on August 3 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
